I'm going to be in central Auckland next Friday 3 July and am keen to meet with other Drupalers in Auckland, perhaps for drinks and/or dinner after work?
Please sign up if you think you'll come, just so we can get an idea of numbers.
It looks like there will be 8 of us. I made a reservation at Mink Cafe at 99 Parnell rd under my name (Bevan).

Nick "gondwanan" Young suggested we meet at Shaky Isles cafe in at 492 New North Rd, Kingsland. It's not quite central (AFAICT) but isn't far out and is convenient for where some of us are meeting earlier, and has free wifi. Though it seems like it's more of a day-cafe than an afternoon/evening bar. Does anyone know? Any alternative suggestions?

I don't know either of those places (or anywhere in Auckland for that matter) but they both look fine to me. It looks like there will be 7-10 of us judging by signups here and some PMs.

Plenty of central Auckland cafe's etc have paid wifi....
But for free wifi, Parnell Business District appears to have been offering this since 2007 http://www.parnell.net.nz/business-services/Parnell_Wireless.htm therefore here is a list of Parnell Bars, Restaurants and Cafes http://www.parnell.net.nz/bars-restaurants-cafes/
Esquires Coffee Houses offer free wifi too (with purchase of course) http://www.esquirescoffee.co.nz/news/free-wifi.html but not sure of their opening hours

I had a look in google local search and at the places linked above, and made a reservation at Mink Cafe at 99 Parnell rd under my name (Bevan) from 4pm. They don't have wifi, and he said the district wifi wasn't reliable, but it seems like a good Friday-drinks place and serves coffee, beer, wine, spirits, snacks and meals.
Sorry it's not central, but I couldn't find anything that seemed appropriate there.
