Theming with 960 Grid - Banner Ads
There seems to be a trend towards using 960 systems grid when theming. I've been designing a site using this system. One concern I have is that most standard banner ad sizes do not fit elegantly within this grid. Has anyone built a commercial site with the system and added banners in sizes like 728x90, 120 x 240, 300 x 250, etc. Is there another grid system that works better? Thanks.

Incorporating ad units into page layouts
At my workplace, we use a 960-pixel width for the page designs and incorporate 728x90 and 300x250 ad units. We typically center the 728x90 leaderboard on the top of pages, which seems to be a common practice. We don't put it on the home page but we do put it on all of the inside pages.
We create a 300-pixel right column in the layout, which is dedicated to the 300x250 ad units (and sometimes a 300x100). Some of the page content also goes into the right column, but the left 2/3 of the page is entirely non-ad content.
