If you want to learn more about the Open Media Project...

Pete P-O presented on the Open Media toolset during the last meet-up, and we've finally settled on a date for a meet-and-greet for anyone who wants to learn more about the project or get involved. The Open Media Project partners and raSANTIAGO are hosting the social at 3:30 p.m. on July 16 at the Olympic Mills Commerce Center in SE.

The OM toolset was created by Denver Open Media as a management toolset that tracks equipment, reservations, reporting and online collaboration. It was developed with Drupal and CiviCRM and appears as an intuitive social media site to public users (i.e.: DOM site). In 2008, DOM was awarded a Knight Foundation News Challenge grant to develop the toolset for community media centers and nonprofits in general.

DOM has six development partners across the country, including Portland Community Media.
