There was a scheduling mixup and heyrocker can't make Wednesday July 11th to speak. We'd like to put a request out for a 20 minute main presentation before our scheduled lightning talks.
Any takers? Hit me below. And thanks!

Melissa's work on event calendars?
Selfishly I'd love to see Melissa present on event calendars. She was going to lightning talk about the PDX DrupalCon grassroots website. Maybe it could become a bit more of a case study as well as an introduction to the tool....

Some alternatives might also be just doing lightening talks or breaking early to enjoy the summer air at Lucky Lab.

I was actually quite impressed with the state of the grassroots event calendar and all the signuppy stuff that it does.
In full disclosure...
I think that ThinkShout might have written some of that underlying "signuppy stuff" that Melissa's using, though oddly we didn't consider that particular module namespace. (/me goes to squat on yet another project name on D.O.)
I was excited to see how Melissa's put it all together.
More sun (and beer) and less folding chairs (as Sarah's suggested) also sounds great though.
Any interest in COD?
I could give a presentation on the Conference Organizing Distribution (COD). DrupalCon Portland's site will be made with COD, and we are in the process of upgrading to D7 as we get ready to build future DrupalCon sites. There are lots of community members and companies helping us with the upgrade process.

COD could be useful for anybody who needs to organize a conference online. I could show off the functionality and answer questions if there is interest.

ps1: meant to be in reply to Sarah's summer + lucky lab idea :)
ps2: woah... i can't delete a misplaced comment on g.d.o :(

I'm happy to talk about the community site and how it was built. I think I could squeeze it all into a 7.5 minute lightning talk. Sean, if the sunshine wins, I'll blog about, deal?

Rapidly thinking we can do lightning talks and enjoy the sun a little quicker than normal on Wednesday. Sound good?
