Start:
2012-07-10 18:00 - 20:00 America/Boise
Organizers:

Last month we didn't come up with a plan for this month's meeting.

I propose we have a general Drupal discussion and a brain storming session to come up with ideas about future meetings.

I imagine that we can meet at the regular place:
Project Zen Online
210 E 37th St, Unit 8,
Garden City, ID 83704

@ogredude - If that won't work please comment on this to let us know.

We could pick a drupal site with a unique functionality or niche (ie: pickydomains.com) and discuss how we would recreate it, modules used, rules, etc... Just a thought.

Looks like I'm going to be

Looks like I'm going to be able to make more of these now that I live just a couple miles away. :)

I know someone was planning on doing an update on the configuration initiative, did that happen yet?

I could also do one of several mini-presentations if anyone was interested (for this for for future Group meetings):

  • I could do a few examples from my "Building Beautiful Forms in Drupal 7" presentation I did for DrupalCon (this could also be the source for several other presentations if the examples are presented a couple at a time). These are mostly jQuery / Form API examples covering Ajax, validation, and various ways of sexifying forms.
  • I recently did a keynote at DrupalCamp Sacramento and this can be split into two mini presentations. One is about the Mentored Training model I've been using for Drupal trainings (including the one this Saturday) and the other is some reflections on an event I went to recently called the CMS Expo.
  • Any examples from BuildAModule.com can be used as a basis for a mini-presentation (done my me or anyone else). These can cover Drupal basics, developer APIs, PHP basics, Git and Features stuff, or theming.

Just some thoughts, but I'm also good with discussing other potential options for future events.

Cheers!
Chris
