Hey all, just wanted to post a quick note. After a little discussion in IRC, I've gone back and changed around some of the "Dojo Tags" we're using to organize the growing(!) pool of content here. In hindsight, tagging things with lesson numbers isn't helpful to new/infrequent visitors, so I've gone ahead and re-tagged everything with the main topics of the lessons.
We also have two other important tags: documentation and screencasts. These should be used to tag complete pieces of drupal documentation and our video records. I'm going to implement a third tag for dojo-howto which should be used to collect posts that explain, for instance, how to get on IRC, how to use Skype, VNC and compress/share videos.
After getting this tagging set, my next goal will be to start making a single wiki page to showcase the screencasts, using thumbnails and providing a little context. I think with a little work now on getting organized, we can set ourselves up well for future participants.

Personal portal to Drupal Dojo
I was not really in step with the lessons and am now just trying to catch up so I'm trying to organize myself first before helping with the organization of the documentation here. But for others like me who tend to have a linear, sequential view of stuff, my portal to Drupal-Dojo might help a bit. I'm supposed to be knowledgeable about taxonomies, metadata, indexes, etc. and I do plan to contribute in this area (esp. that I will not be working/studying in Kansas after all).
Visual organization is key for me too
Thank you! This helps a lot. I have it bookmarked.

So you can go ahead and update your portal! :)
Working through this "all time contrib modules greats" was most rewarding, and well worth the effort, hope others do the same!

Replicate
Done. Victor, thanks so much for these wiki class notes. Lord knows the tons of work that go into writing these. As to my portal, I meant for other people to perhaps replicate it in their own sites if they find personal portals helpful. I don't mean to balkanize resources but I am trying to personalize my learning based on my level and area of expertise. I would have to accept that I can understand programming logic and specs but I don't have the brain circuits to actually write code beyond HTML and CSS.
great resource
Glenda,
Like the others I'm very impressed with the organization.
Can you (or I am happy to do the work as well) copy that verbatim and add it here to the dojo as a guide page?
Thanks!
Greg

Sure!
Hi Greg, please add to the dojo. I've just updated it. It's just another view to the lessons. You might want to customize it. As the volume of resources in this dojo increases, I'll be happy to deploy a subject-based index page - largely manually produced but this is where I'm good at so...
