Southern Colorado Drupal meeting
If you missed our August meeting, our "Fix Our Site" session was very helpful for folks new to Drupal and to folks who had very specific Drupal questions. In the meeting, we:
- Reviewed our favorites from DrupalCamp Colorado
- Introduced CMS's, open source and Drupal
- Tackled real problems people were having with their sites
- Awarded our raffle prizes of the book "Learning Drupal" and the Drupal Cheat Sheet T-shirt.
Of course, we had plenty of time to get to know one another.
Our September meeting on September 3 will cover two broad topics:
-
We will continue our discussions surrounding "Fix My Site", appropriate for people brand new to Drupal along with people who have very specific problems to be fixed.
-
Our "Main Event" will be Drupal developers demonstrating themes that they have developed or use. The group will discuss the unique components of the theme and how the designer and/or developer accomplished various techniques.
Many thanks for our host, the East Library in Colorado Springs. Our regular meetings are on the first Thursday of the month. We'll start socializing at 6:30, and the actual event will begin at 7:00. Our host locks up at 9, so we'll have to be out by then.
As always, if the discussions here point us in a different directions, that's where we'll go!

Bring your business cards
Ana Murray, a new designer to Drupal, made a great suggestion. Be sure to bring business cards to our next meeting. Duh! Why didn't we think of that before?
