I'd like to use the copy/paste command in an editor (yet to be chosen .. new install of Durpal .. am just in the setup phase).
I see the WYSIWUG module will work with a number of editors. FCKeditor (i must be careful typing these first three letters?!?&%#$@) Tiny, etc.
Which editor will hold text color, size and other attributes of the content being pasted into the editor?..or will other defaults override the pasted content and set the font size, etc. to the site default. When I find a bit of text on the net or some other place and want to show it "in it's original format" will one editor work better than another?
thanks and yes this is my first post here on Drupal...
I hope I'm posting in the appropriate section/place/space/page/zone of Drupal?

I would guess that if anything, you're probably dependent on the browser that your users are using to copy the data properly in the first place. I would go to each editors website, try the demos that they have, and see how well they work for you. TinyMCE and FCKEditor both seem to handle pasting in Safari / OS X quite nicely. I have the feeling that IE will be more then problematic...
Remember that other sites may use tags which you don't want to allow on your website, so reproductions may not be exact. If your use is with a controlled set of users, it's probably not a big deal, but for the general public be careful that you don't expose your site to spammers too much :)
