SCUG October Meetup
After leaving our September meeting, several folks were going off to try projects from installing Drupal for the first time to implementing new modules.
By popular demand, our October 1 meeting will be "Things I Didn't Expect When I...". Attendees will give little mini-presentations of their projects and report back on things they learned, things that surprised them, and things they would do differently. If you think of it, post a comment here to say that you have a project that could fall under the category of "Things I Didn't Expect When I...".
Many thanks for our host, the East Library in Colorado Springs. Our regular meetings are on the first Thursday of the month. We'll start socializing at 6:30, and the actual event will begin at 7:00. Our host locks up at 9, so we'll have to be out by then.
As always, if the discussions here point us in a different directions, that's where we'll go!
We will be conducting a raffle for a great intro book, "Using Drupal", by O'Reilly, along with online coupons from O'Reilly.

Can't make it this time
Hi there,
I can't make it this time as I have a class at the same time. Your meeting is scheduled for East Conference Room II (the guards can point you in the right direction). I'll set up a laptop/projector for you if you can have the closing guard take it down at the end.
Barring any unforeseen issues, I should be at the November meeting and would be interested in showing the new ppld.org website at that point, if anyone is interested.
