If this project gets finished, it will provide a tremendous boost to Drupal development. Is anyone working on an actual site yet? Has any funding been pledged? I'm ready to start working on it. This is an invitation for anyone who is doing actual work on the project to join me (or let me join you). Edit this page to include what you intend to do.

I want to create a site with the following functions:

• Rating and history for developers and sponsors

Developers may rate other developers for various skills. Higher rated developers may give higher ratings. Sponsors may rate developers' work on specific projects and developers may rate sponsors.

• Bidding process

Either developers or sponsors may post a project. Developers may bid for the project individually or in teams. Bidding may be open to everyone or restricted to particular members. There is no limit to the number of sponsors who may contribute to a project.

• Contract negotiation

Each contract will include project requirements, terms (length of time developer has to produce, how long the sponsor has to evaluate the developer's work, conditions under which sponsor may re-open bidding on uncompleted projects), and how to determine if terms have been met.

• Escrow service

Money contributed by sponsors will be deposited for safekeeping until the job is done. The site will keep a percentage of the deposited funds and pay the rest to the developers.

• Dispute mediation

In case of disputes, a mediator elected by site members will help the parties come to an agreement. If agreement is not possible, a decision will be made by a neutral arbitration panel. Developers and sponsors agree to use the dispute mediation arrangement of the site.
