After I "pouted" on the twitters about wanting to help with accessibility and not being sure how to do so, @ezufelt sent me over here and and asked that I introduce myself and raise my hand to help.
So here I am.
My name is Dillon, I live in Evanston (just outside Chicago) and have been working w/ Drupal now for 2+ years. I have a passion for making things accessible and creating good experiences.

Welcome
Welcome, Dillon. Glad to see you here.

Welcome
Hi Billon,
welcome to our accessibility team!
I am not very experienced, since I started contributing to drupal accessibility only some weeks ago; however, to get started, you can give a look at
the drupal accessibility issues
There are two very important drupal features that need a complete accessibility review: they are views (that has been included into core) and Aloha (a wysiwyg editor that could be included into core). The main problem with Aloha is that it has very poor screen reader support; however, Aloha developers are working to solve all these accessibility issues (and it seems we are on the right way, see the "contenteditable is not accessible to screen readers" accessibility issue for details).
Again, welcome to our team!
Ditto, and Hello
I found this page via a tweet from Everett and wanted to add my greetings.
I am very interested in accessibility testing as I love QA and web testing tools. I've gotten pretty good at setting up automated tests and feel i'm missing a giant skillset in not knowing how to properly test websites in a way that proves they are accessible.
I'm looking for guidance on how to specifically test D8 issues for accessibility and am looking to learn as much as I can.

Researching and looking for ways to contribute
Hi,
I'm also new to this group. I've been involved in accessibility in web design/development and accessible Word/PDF creation for several years. I'm currently researching the level of accessibility of Drupal and looking for ways to get involved and contribute.
Falcon03, thank you for mentioning the accessibility issue queue. I will check that out. If anyone knows of other needs of the Drupal community around accessibility, I'd be interested in learning of other ways to get involved.
Thanks,
Mickey
Issue page on Drupal.org
The issue is the most happening place on drupal.org. It may get intemidating for a new user to run through it and figure out where to start.
A good place to start could be working on issues that needs review and user accessibility. These tasks would involve setting up the latest development version of drupal and testing the patches to meet accessibility needs.
