Well I have read D6 Social
Well I have read D6 Social Networking it is a pretty good book how ever I already new most of the material, because I have created a dating site with D5 already.
The other book is quite short so I am not sure you will find much value in it. (But I have not read it) Plus it using D5 where the other book using D6.

The two ebooks are about drupal 6 .. the second one has some notes about d5 .. but it's for d6 ..
The second book, will let you make exactly a site like http://www.drupalfun.com/ (it's actually a case study)
How do you rate drupalfun as a social networking ? do you think that the first ebook will help me to do something better ?

Well both books cover
Well both books cover different areas. With drupal is it next to impossible to read one book and think it will teach you everything. It sounds like drupalfun is going to help you make a site like drupalfun.com so if you don't want a site like that you might be limited. But I am not sure because I have not read that book.
For myself I have read about 10 drupal books already so I recommend reading both, drupalfun is a smaller book then social networking though.
