Logging in with Twitter and Upgrading Modules

I installed DC the other day and I've been playing with it and have a couple n00b-type questions that I cannot find the answer to.

  1. From reading the project page, I was under the impression that DC had a "Connect with Twitter" feature, but I can't find this feature anywhere in the backend. Is this possible with DC or is this feature still be developed (I remember seeing it being discussed somewhere)?

Also, will it include the ability to create an account on the website on "first connect", or would the user have to connect with Twitter after registering?

  2. I can't find a clear answer on whether I should upgrade my modules after installing the Commons distribution. Drupal is telling me I have lots of out-dated modules, but I don't want to screw up the distro configuration.

Any answers are appreciated. I am not new to Drupal, but I am new to Drupal 7 and distributions. Thank you!

Setting up social login

Hi Dave,
i searched in the Commons issue queue and found this link to a screencast on configuring OAuth: http://www.drupalcommerce.org/blog/4571/kickstart-tip-1-social-logins-ma...

regarding upgrading modules, as of jan 2 2013, the commons distribution still has many modules in dev versions that are under active development. upcoming releases of the distribution usually include updated versions of the modules. detailed info on the contents of each release can be found here: http://drupal.org/node/837736/release?api_version[]=103

hope that helps!
