Start:
2013-02-07 17:00 - 19:00 UTC
Organizers:

We had a great turnout at our "rebooted" Louisville Drupal meeting on December 15th with a total of six in attendance, more than some of our first meetings last year!

General discussions took place with topics such as:

  • Introduction & areas of expertise
  • Features module
  • Responsive designs
  • Drush
  • ...just to name a few.

Our goal is to meetup on the last Saturday of every month with a possibility of additional meetings in between, schedules permitting.

I am proposing that we slate our meetings for 2 hours. Thoughts?

This event will be updated with further details once the consensus is in. In the meantime, let's keep keep up the talks!

We have not received many responses for the meetup today, so I have moved the meeting to next week on Thursday the 7th. Give me some ideas on what you all would like to discuss and if Highland coffee works best for you.

What time would it be?

Trying not to be busy

I'm trying to get through some thing to make next thursday. As for topics, i'm all about performance tweaks and procedures at the moment, trying to absorb anything I can.

Maybe, depending on the time

I'd be available until 7. MOSScon has it's weekly meeting on Thursdays.

I'll be out of town for this

Poll Time

kevinsszx's picture

Lets try to get a poll from everyone, for their typical availability so we can pick days/times/location, that will pool more people. I am a 9-5r, so I'm good with evenings and weekends mostly. I'm also in Jtown or Middletown, but I'll drive.

Same here, essentially,

Same here, essentially, except that I'm downtown. Also willing to drive. Wednesdays and Thursdays are also generally ungood, at least for now.

re: Poll Time

1 - I have kids to drive around most evening - Wed or Fri evenings are OK, or Sat or Sun afternoons.

2 - I have not been active with the Drupal groups so you won't see any history from me. But, I do want to see what is happening with this product (Drupal, in general), and I would like to see what people are doing with it & what I might be able to do to make my sites better. I can't promise to attend "frequently", so don't change based on my response, but I will try to attend when I can.

Date Changed

Hi, I worked with Drupal two years ago and built our website with Drupal 6. I was a member of the Cincinnati Drupal Users Group but it appears to have folded while I was gone.

Where are you folks meeting on Thursday and at what time? I and a friend of mine would like to attend.

Highland coffee 5pm Thursday the 7th

I'm not sure how many people are coming, as there have been very few responses.

I plan to be there and I may have a Drupal developer from Lebanon, KY with me, if he can get away from work on time.

My company nolaridge.com is looking for help with theming our existing Drupal 6 site to make it more attractive and stimulate sales. We are a mom and pop company and our big sales are through three Peddlers Malls in the area. However I would like to switch the sales traffic to the web to allow us to travel when we retire.

Hopefully we will get to meet some of you tomorrow.

I would like to come but It

Meetup

Hey Folks,

Since the meet-up is tomorrow, let's stick to the scheduled meet-up and keep it open forum.

It would be nice to start forming structure around our meet-ups and what we would like to cover, eventually coming up with a solution as to what the Louisville Group outcome will be.

Scheduled meet-up times and days would also be a great topic for us to cover as we can always meet-up a few times within a month that cater to everyones work schedules and lives.

See everyone tomorrow at 5:00p.m. EST @ Highland Coffee
