Hi Albany Drupal Peeps,
I am back to Albany and I wanted to see where we are with the meet-ups. I see the last one on July 2012. It's time to do monthly Meetup and share our knowledge from our own implementations. Let me know how many people are really interested in a monthly meet-up.
Apart from monthly meet-up I don't see our community is actively discussing about the issues or recommendation,etc.. I have been to other groups which is very small just like us but they are very active and sharing their knowledge as much as possible.
I want to have feedback from each own on how to improve our Albany group to engage more? Your thoughts much appreciated.

I'm always down for a Drupal
I'm always down for a Drupal meet up! I agree, we need to get the meetings back on course. Drupal is a great piece of software, and things like user groups really help keep the focus and excitement where they need to be.
The last one was cancelled due to, I believe, hurricane Sandy.

I know you are very much interested in meetups from very beginning.
Another way to interact each other is to create co-working days usually we do in Fridays because most of the companies though they expect you on-site every day they still give you a day for telecommuting.
If we can do co-working on Fridays either at local library or some coffee shop (I usually sit at Panera when I do telecommute as they have free wi-fi) we could share lot of information each other.
Let me know how many people are ready for co-working on Fridays?

Just got back from vacation
Just got back from vacation (read: extended hiatus, working on personal Drupal projects). I too would love to see more Drupal meetups happen, along with more activity in the community. As Patrick mentioned, the last meetup was cancelled due to Sandy, and between the new season and the holidays we have been unable to reschedule so far. As long as there is still interest, I'm sure I can get us a space in EMPAC - we'd still love to have everyone!
As far as telecommuting/co-lo, I wouldn't be able to every week, though it is something I am open to.
