New organizer needed?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

As per the guidance here, I am opening up discussion about replacing the organizer of this group.

There have been two posts since May 2011 in this group -- both of which have been this month, and one of which was my post about the Magento module no longer being supported.

I don't know if the entire Drupal/Magento team at Adyax got hit by a bus or something, but it seems as if all their efforts stopped mid last-year.

Regardless of that, this group is hugely under-promoted and under-utilized. I've been working on Drupal-related Magento stuff for nearly two months at this point and this is the first I've come across it -- it's nowhere near the resource it should be.

For these reasons, I think new group organizers are needed. Especially considering there's no one piece of software to bridge Magento and Drupal at the moment, this group should be used to collaboratively find approaches towards the problem of using Magento with Drupal -- perhaps why it has stagnated so badly is due to the vendor-specific approach taken previously.

Anyone willing to step up to take this over? I'm willing to contribute as an interim organizer, but I really don't have the time, dedication or interest in Magento to build this community up again -- at least by myself.

This is somewhat saddened me.

This is somewhat saddened me. Since I am planning to used Drupal-Magento Design to build my first e-commerce site. My friend told me that the module provides a powerful e-commerce site. I hope there will be people will step up.
