One of the housekeeping items we talked about tonight was continuing on our recent string of regularity. Instead of bootstrapping the entire "which night is best" discussion every month we proposed picking one night so that everyone can always plan on it ahead of time.
From our last poll, it seemed as though Monday nights were the most popular.
The initial proposal is that we plan the second Monday of every month be our LV Drupal Meetup night. We thought we could start it at 6:30, and on nights where we'd have a presentation we could do that later. The thinking was that those wanting early could come for chat and then presentation, while those who couldn't make it until later could come for presentation and then more chat.
We also talked about trying to have a more presentation-friendly venue for every meet up, and just use a place like BrewWorks as a fall back if we couldn't secure one.
This is not decided yet - just a proposal. What are you responses? Good idea - other ideas to suggest? Post them here!
