Moving to Gainesville

What companies or organizations would you suggest be the best place to work?

I am currently planning to move and look for career opportunities in Gainesville, FL. I would like to start with peers that are familiar with the area and that can help me find the best fit.

I would like to find a place I can continue to use my talents with PHP webdesign and work with a great team of developers.

I have worked for companies such as Hilton, Ole Miss, FedEx and currently Southwest Power. Resume available upon request.

Hi Smith, welcome to the group! Are you looking for a Drupal specific job? Or just PHP in general? There aren't a lot of big web dev shops in town. The biggest one is a .NET shop. Several of work more as consultants and freelancers. UF has a lot of PHP based sites (Drupal and Wordpress) but I have no idea if they're hiring.

In any case, we'll be glad to meet you when you get here and show you around! We meet at least once a month, but often get together in between for a lunch or dinner and a beer or 3 or 4. You're first round will be on me when you get into town.
