Many people in the Colorado Drupal community have proposed sessions for DrupalCon Portland. Many others in Colorado have heard these people present or even heard early versions of the presentations proposed for Portland. So ... let's post links to our sessions here and leave comments on the session pages explaining to the good people of Portland how great our Colorado-sourced presentations would be at DrupalCon.

Great idea!
My session -> My Let's Talk About PCI Compliance for Drupal
http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/lets-talk-about-pci-compliance-dr...
I've touched on this topic before during my DBUG talk last April where I compared/contrasted Ubercart and Drupal Commerce http://atendesigngroup.com/blog/denver-drupal-meetup-recap-april-2012.
I've also blogged about this...
http://soundpostmedia.com/article/lets-talk-about-pci-compliance-ubercar...
And I'm also working on a white paper...

Any (hopefully positive) comments would be greatly appreciated!
I remember that presentation
I'm glad you're going to expand upon this! PCI compliance (and the liability that goes with it) is how to separate the pros from the no-gos!
Javascript and Drupal
I'm presenting on one of my topics that I've covered at BADCamp this year, but changing it up a bit with some more information I presented internally here at Aten:
http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/javascript-drupal
It should be a beginner and intermediate friendly, as well as having a bit to do with Drupal 8. I'm looking forward to seeing some Colorado presentations!
Design Smarter, Not Harder
I proposed a session that will dive into the creative process and cover ways you can adapt your own process to better handle the ever-changing requirements of the web.

Making meetups and events Rock!
I did this panel in Munich and we had a great discussion with the attendees. We'll have a whole new panel in Denver:

Dapper Drupal
I've proposed a joint session with John Ferris (pixelwhip) on crafting custom base themes, and how this approach enables teams to tailor their start point to the context of their workflow.

Figure on Figuring it out: Strategies for cracking Drupal without cracking up
http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/figure-figuring-it-out-strategies...
This session draws on my experience supporting developers for hundreds of Drupal sites at the University of North Texas. The basic idea is to help people new to the Drupal world (and development in general) to structure how they approach dev tasks.
I proposed this session based
I proposed this session based on a keynote I did at SandCamp - http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/using-drupal-and-lean-methodology...
It's in the "businesssssssss" track and my hope is that I'll help people re-think their business strategy to get the most benefit from adopting Drupal.

Successful Drupal Contrib Projects
I did this presentation internally at Aten on all the non-technical stuff that goes into maintaining Drupal contrib projects:
http://portland2013.drupal.org/content/successful-drupal-contrib-project...
Adaptive Content with Drupal
Joel and I proposed a session that will cover the ways we've been implementing the principles behind Adaptive Content. It's something I presented on internally for Aten, but something Joel and I have expanded on since then.
We'd love to provide some concrete examples of structuring content to be flexible, facilitate some discussion from others on how they're implementing this and also discuss some ideas we've been batting around, but are still in the experimental phase of things.
Here's the link to the session- http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/adaptive-content-drupal
Matthew Saunders, Gergely
Matthew Saunders, Gergely Csonka, Campbell Vertesi, and I proposed a session to discuss outsourcing from the perspectives of both the outsourcing shop and the shop providing the services. Gergely Csonka runs the shop we (5 Rings) outsource to in Hungary and came up with the great idea for this session. We'll be discussing the ins and outs of the relationship, talk about some of our pain, our successes, and what we all recommend for making the relationship of benefit to everyone (including the client).
The embargo has been lifted!
Portland is going to be awesome! I can now officially talk about my work at the lab in the (formerly) undisclosed location! In the Government, Nonprofit and Education track, I proposed "Managing Big Data with Drupal" http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/managing-big-data-drupal
On the technical side, I'll cover database issues like why JOINs perform better than sub-queries when dealing with complex data.
On the architectural side, we'll discuss design concerns like the benefits of targeting your customers' needs when aggregating large amounts of data.
And on the management side (I guess I'm not as square as I thought, as this is turning out to be a triangle), we'll examine problems like turf wars, and how to avoid them in order to get access to the data you need!
Whether or not the proposal is accepted, I have my ticket and reservations. I AM GOING TO THE LAND OF PORT!
Don't forget to post your comments...
According to this:

We should be posting comments at individual session proposals:

See you there!
Something is rotten in the state of RenderAPI
So let's talk about http://portland2013.drupal.org/session/rethinking-render-future-drupal-t... and roll deep on that new new track, yo.
