Best practices for SPAM control - I've done the basics and am amazed at what is still getting through. I have yet to find time to research what I'm forgetting.

Distributions - I've overlooked the option of Drupal Distributions in the past. Starting to wonder if I should look closer at them. When do they make the most sense?

Alternatives to drupal.org/projects/....(modules) if any? From time to time I hear that others find their modules in locations other than Drupal.org/projects. I'm wondering if anyone ever uses drupal sandbox projects in their work, if so how does one find useful sandbox projects?
