Google summer of code 2013 is almost here. We are currently still waiting for Google to announce this year's organizations, but it is wise to start collecting project proposals now.
Do you have an idea for a great project which you'd like to share with the community and potential students? Are you interested in becoming a mentor? Do you want to participate as a student? We created a group where all this and even more can be done.

Procedure to vouch for small organizations?
Hello slashrsm,
Do you know what is the procedure to ask for support of well established organizations (such as Drupal) to vouch for smaller organizations to take part of GSoC 2013 (small orgs need vouching from large orgs to get in)?.
I have just moved the discussion to this group today: http://groups.drupal.org/node/289573
Thanks a lot,
David
No Drupal at GSOC 2013
I just checked the results and unfortunately no Drupal is found. Very sad.
does that mean it's not
does that mean it's not possible to make some work for Drupal and get GSOC acknowledgment?
