Drupal Meet Up

Hi Everyone,

I've been thinking that we couldn't gather since after the last Drupal Camp (I wasn't there tho) and now it is a good time to gather for a Meet up and plan for the next DrupalCamp.

When I was at the DrupalCon Portland I met Step (http://drupal.org/user/52142) who is the Drupal core developer and works for Acquia brought the idea to plan a DrupalCamp in December. He will be joining and presenting in the camp too.

So before that we should arrange a meet up in August (I'll be in SL by that time) to discuss more details about it. Let me know who can join?. I'll ping my friends offline too, others can drop me a line at heshan(at)heidisoft.com if you have an interest of joining with the organizing committee.

I'm so happy to get some feedback from everyone of you (We now have 90 members, yeah!).

I appreciate if you guys can reply me for below questions? those are few thing me and Step discussed and needed some answers.
1. What is the best time in Dec for the Drupal Camp. Dec 14-15 is okay?.
2. Can we get a place at a university (hopefully I can talk to UoM), office or library?.
3. Can we do a two day camp or one day camp?

After meeting Heshan here in Portland I was told there would be a DrupalCamp in October (to be announced). So maybe we could consider the idea of having training or some sessions on a specific topic in December, to complement the Camp in October.

I couldn't attend the first one but read that it was really good and had number of attenders.
Things have changed here so I'm sure I too can attend this time.

I live in Kandy and do have contacts of some great PHP/Drupal enthusiasts from Pera university. Hopefully we can gather them too.

I think a two-day camp would be fine, too. Pera university did a wonderful helpful allowing to host some related events so lets see if UoM or UCSC can do same.

Dates are fine for me.

It's nice to hear about another Drupal camp. I was there in previous meetup and definitely be there this time also.

mid of December would be fine for the meetup as you planed. and the place should be a location where everyone can reach easily. im also thinking for a two day camp. first day for the beginners and second for the advance developers.

Glad to hear that we are going to have a Drupal camp this year in SriLanka. I was waiting for this event as a gathering and to share our knowledge. But I will be out of the country for couple of months. I might miss Drupal camp from @wakensys in October.
But in December I can surely participate.
