One Idea for the next group meeting would be to cover Faceted Search

This module makes some really cool options for laying out search results.

It is very easy to use and can tie into views.

You can see some samples at

Just enter in a search on the top right search box and see the extra blocks appear on the left.
One example would be the word 'conservation'

Attached is a quick screen shot of it in action.

It really comes in handy to make numerous search layouts for example you might have a number of content types.
1. Events
2. Store
3. Blog

So right away you can make searches for each of these.

Alot of this can be done with views so in time this module might be outdated but right now it does offer some quick results.
