How to get into workflow

Hi everybody,

I'm fumbling around with the workflow-module and I'm running into walls here and there. I watched a few screencasts but everywhere something is left out. The first talked about actions but won't talk about activating trigger-module and so on.

At the moment I got a basic workflow running but the permissions won't work. So I ask if someone here knows a step by step tutorial for a basic workflow. Including creation of users and setting their permissions right.

Last thing I tried was a fresh installation with just the workflow-module installed and trigger-module activated but there the "workflow-summary"-item didn't show up in the menu. So I gave up trying without knowing and now I try to find help here.

So, any HowTo, Documentation, etc. suggestions?

Update:

Found the cause of the missing "Workflow summary". "Workflow summary" is a view so you need views to be installed to see it. Another think which I found in no tutorial. At the moment I'm about to write one myself. If it's at a point where my knowledge ends and it won't work (like I expect) then I'll post the link here. Hopefully someone here adds the last bits to get it right.

Update 2:

I finished my tutorial and I end up with the wrong permissions again (I think here lies my main problem). So here is my tutorial. I really would like to have someone comment on it to get it right. And if it's all right and perhaps there's a better place for it than hidden on my personal page i'll post it there to. At the moment I think about posting it at geeksandgod.com but first I want it to work properly (I think here would be the wrong place with all those images hosted on my webspace).

Today I corrected the last bits and I finally got a working workflow. After having a workflow on my raw drupal-installation I'll try to get the same things to work on the actual site it's meant for. After that I'll clean up the tutorial and look if there's room for it in the drupal documentation. Till then you might have a look at it (same link as in "Update 2) and correct me in the comments.
