December SCUG Meetup
We had a great turnout and great discussions at our November meeting. Many thanks to Virginia Franklyn for demonstrating the upcoming Pikes Peak Library Drupal site. We talked about subjects ranging from usability testing to the merits of a Zen subtheme.
We didn't even have time to get to our demo of views and CCK. Mike Potter has kindly volunteered to present this overview at December's meeting. Views and CCK are vital to anyone developing a Drupal web site, so this presentation will be appropriate for people new to Drupal and, if our past experience holds true, the discussion will provide learnings for everyone.
Of course, we always bring our current questions and issues to discuss.
Many thanks for our host, the East Library in Colorado Springs. We are normally in the large conference room; take a hard left when you enter the building. Our regular meetings are on the first Thursday of the month. We'll start socializing at 6:30, and the actual event will begin at 7:00. Our host locks up at 9, so we'll have to be out by then.

College Intro Session and meetup.com
After our discussion with recent college grads who were told that they were trained in web design and development but never even knew about CMS's, let alone Drupal, I've been talking with folks about having a Saturday event for college students in the area introducing CMS's and Drupal in particular. We can explore this more at our December meeting.
p.s. We're now on meetup.com: http://www.meetup.com/Southern-Colorado-Drupal-Users-Group/ Friends don't let friends not know about Drupal.
