Everybody ready to get together next week? Quixotic life started a wiki for an agenda and such...so check that out. --- lets try to get some activity on the wiki - the more activity the more we can clarify what we want to do...

incidentally my vote is to have a meeting talking only about JOOMLA....kidding:)

looking forward to the meetup

Is this thing still on? ( i say while tapping a microphone)

If anybody is still interested--- i would like to meet for a brainstorming session---specifically i am struggling to get a custom view block (or any block for that matter) in a node---in my case looking to get a couple custom views on a front page node- i have read some things that seem to point me in the right direction specifically http://drupal.org/node/26502 - i am not sure how to find the delta of the block that i want.

if the school thing is not on ---would be willing to meet for coffee or beer with anybody to share what i have done and what i know

Meeting up

Logistically, I have a hard time meeting up after hours.
But I'd really like to meet others in the philly area who are using drupal.
These postings on the group site are a good start.

I'd be interested in getting an online gathering and see where that leads us.
The Drupal community uses skype and IRC to meetup online as groups.
I'd also like to try second life and see how that works.
Henns, maybe you and I can meetup and see how it goes.

I'm all for a meet. Though

I'm all for a meet. Though I'll have to poke my eyes out if we talk about Joomla/Mambo. (I used to run it on my website. AUGH!)

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to put together anything about module building. I was sorta busy uh, porting a module to Drupal 5. :-P

where do you guys live?

i am also going to email quixoticlife and fstpierre to see if they are not doing the science leadership academy

jamie

I live in Ardmore and work

I live in Ardmore and work in Center City.

I recall that Ardmore was mentioned as a possible meeting place at the last meet. We've a number of food-related businesses in the area that that could accommodate a group of 6-8 people. I'm thinking along the lines of the Milk Boy cafe at Lancaster and Station Ave.

I live and work in Abington. My nights are booked, playing with my kids (my wife works at night).
I used to get out once a month on Thursdays to go to Panma events, but that has tapered off.
Now I communicate via http, IM, and phone.
And I'm learning to speak pirate.
Arrr.

Would love to have an online place to discuss drupal with local philly people.
If they speak pirate, the better.

Ardmore sounds Fine

Aye, we are close.
We may want to meetup for lunch one day.
Work wise, I'm slammed with Drupal projects.
But let me know if and when you'd like to get together.
In the meantime, I'm going to try and get some type of second life meetup going.

peace,
michael
