SVG in theming

The title of this group is graphing and svg, so maybe this doesnt really fit, but to try to spin the group up a bit I want to share what I was thinking on today. Please comment if you like the idea, or criticize if not. It was about my project and the following thought crossed my mind:

We could implement, or use SVG in themes too. Decorations, that are now declared by CSS could be done from SVG. Menus, headers, fading backgrounds, all done via SVG, using canvas from the new drawing modules, and SVG text. What do you think? Should I extend my project in this direction, for example to consider inserting SVG themed text into normal text?

Even though it will be messy in IE, It would be /great/ to demonstrate the drawing modlue with a full SVG theme...

Basically, if you can make IE handle the SVG as an image, either fully embedded directly into the page xhtml, or with

<embed>, <object> and <iframe>
then you pretty much can do anything and it's not so far from the scope of the SoC proposal.
