Introductions
Let me start off by introducing myself and then I would encourage any new subscribers to comment on this post to introduce themselves as well in a similar format.
My name is Jerad Bitner and I live outside of Montoursville in the country. I've been developing in PHP for almost 5 years now and have almost as much experience, if not more, in CSS and javascript. I found Drupal through a friend, whom I hope joins this group, and have been in love ever since. With Drupal, not my friend... ;) He's a bastard.
Anyway, jQuery has been a big focus of mine as of late, as well as theming. I don't really like to theme because I hate cross browser compliance (read CSS in IE) but I love jQuery and module development. I've no big claims to fame so far, but hopefully that will change in the near future.
I hope to bring up discussion within the group about general techniques used to make websites using CCK and Views along with writing custom jQuery. I'll be creating a category for users to show off the different sites they're building so that we can hopefully pool our talents and resources and bring some better web development to the area in general. I'd also like to see what sort of developers are even in this area so that we can hopefully have some meet-ups and share the wealth. There's a lot of opportunity around here in our profession and hopefully we can make more people aware of the great talent that this area has to offer.

Hello All - My name is Shawn
Hello All - My name is Shawn Preisz and I live in Montour county and work in Lycoming county so I guess this would be the best group for me to belong. I have come to find that I really don't even consider starting a new web project without installing a clean install of Drupal. (Ah, a clean install of drupal gives such a warm and fuzzy feeling!) I certainly appreciate the modular aspect of what is much more than a Content Management System and more of a PHP framework.
I currently work for a manufacturing company where a portion of my day usually focused on managing web applications for internal and external use. The “managing” part has given me opportunities in server management and subversion setup/maintenance, DNS maintenance, virtual hosting and finding and prioritizing work etc… (finding work is not much of a problem) There is another guy in my office that currently has been focusing on “jQuery…, as well as theming” and he is pretty interested in Drupal too ;)
Anyhow, I am always looking for people to network with and what a better center of conversation than Drupal!
