A December meetup sounds good. Any of the suggested topics by Frazras sounds like good starting points. We could also use the occasion to set plans for the next year. I would want us to explore these topics:
Rich Internet Applications
HTML 5
CSS 3
The topics can be looked at over more than 1 meeting. An introduction and demonstration of their use online, then show how it can be used in drupal.
We also need to discuss the Library Association's request to host the Drupal Workshops.
Dec 23rd may be too close to Christmas. Things do get hectic around this time and we will be competing with the Christmas parties.
We also need to factor some lyming time in the event.
True True True, cant afford to miss all those Christmas events :D
The 16 is on a Christmas dinner date I will be having so what about the 17th.
Also another topic could be a Jamaica Drupal Group sandbox website. We could have an official install that we play around in - ok on second thought, perhaps we can have a testing sub-domain and then a main site to represent the group.
Sounds good, axle_foley00 what days work better for you? It will be great to benefit from your presence as well. I like the sound of most of these discussion topics. Perhaps we can make plans at this meetup to have a code sprint on the 23rd for this NCB e-commerce integration module. Yea, frazras, it would be nice to have a sandbox to give people access to as development space and for playing around with modules. Speaking of which, just to add potential topics to the list, maybe we can go over some of the most useful contrib modules(and how to upgrade them). Also, with drupal 7 upon us, it could also be useful to go into the details of upgrading a drupal site from 5 to 6.
Once we settle on a date, I'll create the event so that people can signup for it. Maybe we can get a chipin going and order some pizza this time. As long as the space is available I believe the MSB will host us again.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The 15th or the 16th would have been better for me, with a preference for the 16th. But if the 17th is better for everyone then perhaps it's best you go with that date. Perhaps I can give input before or after via comments/email if I'm still unable to make it.

I have Toastmasters meeting on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 and a practise at 7:30pm on the 17th but would be willing to attend the meeting for the first hour and a half.
Comments
How about a pre-christmas party
23rd the eve of Christmas eve might be good :-)
Are we gonna have another presentation or just chit chat.
There are a number of things to chit chat about:
Drupal 7 & code freeze
DUX
smallcore
whitehouse.gov
d.o redesign
drupalgardens
Maybe even some actual development from the group, like a Jamaica theme :P
or that NCB e-commerce integration module that was mentioned some time ago.

Sandbox and Main Site
This sounds great! It sounds like we have an idea for a project. - main site and test/development site.
Any more ideas anyone?
The 15th is booked for me. Don't know any other yet.
The 17th is OK with me,
