Available for work thread

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

Hi folks,

I'm starting this as an ongoing thread where people can post if 1) They have some bandwidth open up and they're looking for new projects, or 2) They need to pass a project on to someone else.

Right now, I have a lead that I'm looking to pass on. It will be a full redux of a current site, the client is already aware of Drupal and is excited to use it in their project. I'd love to take the project on, but I have too many commitments atm. Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks!
Chris

wait time

jrglasgow's picture

Chris,
Or usual goal from signing the contract to completion of the project is 6 weeks, depending on the desires of the client and the turnaround of mockups.

If all they need is a custom theme and advanced module configuration there would be no significant wait. There would only be a wait if there were a custom module or two that would be required.

I'm always looking for work,

I'll be ready for some more work soon!

The marketing company I was working full-time for was recently forced to lay-off almost half of the entire company including myself. My role with the company was to help with user experience and interface design (mostly for their membership modeled drupal sites), Drupal theme development, and Drupal setup, configurations, and maintenance.

I have a few projects for freelance clients in the works right now but will be needing to line up the next round of work again very soon.

Now I'm in a mad rush to finally get my website up to par so I can start driving traffic and making new connections. I'm going to start hitting the local Boise market hard and doing my best to capture as many leads as I can on a consistent weekly basis. Unfortunately my website is no way near ready for that yet. Should be ready though in a few weeks!!

I'm open to working together with any of you guys in anyway possible. With all the talent in this group combined with the power of Drupal, there's a ton of opportunity available for local Boise businesses and us too!

JagTag is looking for

scott falconer's picture

JagTag is looking for developers. While our listing says we require someone to be in the Seattle area, we could make an exception for a developer to telecommute from Boise, with occasional in Boise meetings, as I travel back there quite often.

The job listing is in the Seattle group: http://groups.drupal.org/node/65528

Looking for help on ed_classified module

zareen's picture

Hi there Boise Drupal folks. I'm down from Salmon and hoping to stay through next weeks meeting.

Meanwhile, I need some help with the ed_classified module, Drupal 6. I'm developing a site for a client. What I need is for a classified ad that is entered by an admin role to never expire. I don't have the coding skills to get that deep into it. If anyone is available please let me know.

Help with completion of a v7 site

locavore's picture

I am looking to find someone in the Boise area who can help me with the final portions of my Drupal v7 site.

This site is a replica of my v5 working site and is about 60% complete, but I have run into a few issues that are beyond my Drupal skill level.

At the present time, I have three specific issues that are blocking my progress. These may be just configuration tweaks or they may need some coding changes.

The issues are:
1. Make Select List fields appear on a Profile form
In a custom content type, named profile, I have several fields that are set up as Select lists. These do appear in the profile set up form, but do not appear in the completed profile page. I believe that I have replicated the set up of the same fields on the same page in my version 5 site, but I can not get the fields to appear in the completed Profile page in v7.

  1. Need to replicate the profile page layout from the v5 site on the v7 site

  2. Also, in the user profile page of the v7 site there are four text areas or fields that have become "resizeable" and I need to make then static.

Additionally, once I get the v7 site working, based on past history I most likely will need help with:

Importing several thousand profiles from the v5 site database
Setting up a Proximity search similar to what I have working here:
Transferring/migrating the v7 test site to the primary site

Is there anyone in the group who would be willing to help me with this?

Thanks!

I'm available.

Need someone to finish a Drupal e-commerce site

njacobson's picture

I've built several drupal sites and started one for my husbands business, but I haven't integrated a store with Drupal yet. Based on my research, Ubercart seemed most recommended. I just don't have time to figure it out as they wanted the site up last month. Site design/theme and basic pages are done. Ubercart installed. Payment processor chosen. Looking at using webgility to integrate quick books.

I need to pass this on to someone with experience in ecommerce, preferably ubercart and quickbooks integration that I can trust to give a quality finished product.

Let me know if you are interested. I'll give you more details of what I've done so far, what's left to do - you can give me a quote of what you would charge and I'll pass you off to my husband and his business partner to finish this up.

Need Durpal Support for our web page

TempUser's picture

Hello All,

I am not a developer, I'm a frustrated user. We have a drupal web page and I need a contractor to make some modifications. I am done with conference calls, web meetings and e-mails. You must operate in Boise and be able to attend "real" meetings. I know its so very 1995 of me. The work involves modification of a library type module.
