backlinks module

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I cobbled together a backlinks module which works with views, to provide a backlinks page for each node. It hasn't yet been used in production, but if anyone has a wiki sandbox I'd be curious to know if it's at all useful. You can download it from cvs; project page is http://drupal.org/project/backlinks

I used it and I love it, it

I used it and I love it, it works great.

checking the code it looks like it relies on information already collected by search.module can you elaborate on that? is search.module aware of aliases as well?

being greedy, I just thought wouldn't it be wonderful if one could hack search so that when indexing aggregator nodes (created by modules like feedparser or simplefeed) it will translate track backlinks between aggregated blogposts?

Search module already

Search module already indexes links between nodes which appear in rendered nodes. It uses these, similarly to google, to find relevant keywords for a node (based on the link text). Search module will index any type of node, but it only indexes links pointing at a node on your drupal site itself; it ignores links to external URLs..
