Core Theme Update

I believe I have progressed enough with the design of the core theme to show it and ask publicly if I'm going in the right direction. I have chosen for a classy and simple look without too much contrast and trying to follow some contemporary styles in web design.

On the 3-column layout you can see the logo, the secondary navigation on the top right side, the primary navigation on the bottom right side of the header, blocks in both the right and left column, the breadcrumb and general content. Please ignore the footer, which still needs a lot of work.

Please remember that this is not the final design. I would really like to hear your comments though, so please tell if it looks good enough to you or not.

Thanks!

P.S.
You'll find both layouts attached to this post.

Is it fixed width in the display? It looks like your set to be able to be both fixed and flexible with that layout.

One thing I'd recommend -- and I'm not sure how much of this can be done theme-side, but there can be a place for it and instructions in the documentation -- would be to have the top right menu be its own menu, and to try to make a secondary menu that derives from the primary links.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Benjamin, yeah sounds like a great idea. It is possible by using regions, so it's definitely worth trying out.

I'm not 100% sure if I will make it fixed width or not. Most likely it will be em/%-based, that's the most flexible solution, but I'm not sure yet how it will work out with the different layouts I want to implement.

I would like to

I would like to congratulate, nice design! How do you plan when the theme will be ready to install on a Drupal site? I assume at the current status you have the design in some type of graphical software.
