I am interested in meeting with some local people that have some experience with drupal and want to team up on website projects. I have 3-4 good ideas rolling around in my head and I wanna get these things going. Bring your ideas as well.
Let me know if you are interested.

Well, as you can see, a Meet&Greet never happened and there is not much volume (at present) in Nashville. So I'll repeat my spiel: we live time-sliced lives, async communications are far easier to arrange between 10 people than in-person, so if you want to "meet and greet," introduce yourself here.
However, that has failed so far as well. Geeks!
BarCamp Nashville will be this Saturday, is likely to draw just about anyone Drupal-oriented, and may be a better incentive than just plain vanilla meet&greet.
I'll be there at least (ho-hum). Other than that, I'm usually at Bongo Java or JJ's half the evenings, doing something Drupal-related.

I will definitely make a point to get out to Barcamp this weekend. I will also hold out some hope to meet some people face to face.

Meet and Greet
Ok, ok... here it goes. My name is Jared Anthony Scheel. I am a web developer with CentreSource, the coolest web firm in town. I have a lovely wife named Tammy, a crazy cat named Pazu, and a beautiful dog named Shelby. I worship at the Millersville church of Christ (come visit us sometime). By the way, I didn't design or built that website :)
I have been using Drupal since 5 came out in January. You usually can find me on any of the drupal IRC channels. I am working on a few contrib modules, and am part of the documentation team.
On a side note, I'm speaking at BarCamp, so I hope to see all of you there. If you feel moved, please come support my presentation on iPhone development from 3:40pm to 4:00pm!
Congrats
Congrats on the speaking gig. On another note, I live just up the road from Millersville in the Ridgetop area. Do you live in the area?
I have some other projects that are beyond my capability. I have been talking with another Nashville Design company. I would love to see what you have to offer as well.

I live right between Springfield and Greenbrier, in Oakland Farms, by the Legacy Golf Course. If you are interested in checking out CentreSource, give us a call at 615-313-7679. We'd love to hear from you!

Teaming up: I'm game. I also have a couple of sites that eventually need ported to drupal. Only thing is that I'm such a Drupal newbie and much more of a designer than a coder. ok, ok... I'm not a coder at all. Don't hate. :)
BarCamp: I'm there.

Sounds good..
Terry,
That sounds great. I am not "much of a coder" either, but I am working to change that. Let's stay in touch and see if we might be able to work together.

I am not "much of a coder"
You know the adage: Drupal is too close to coding for designers, too close to design for programmers?
Well, most designers and most programmers...
Good to see some activity here. How about some sort of informal face-to-face at BarCamp?

What about everyone trying
What about everyone trying to meet at Anthony's (jscheel) presentation between 3:40 and 4:00 pm? Maybe we can get Anthony to make an announcement right after his presentation so we can all meet each other.

Returning to find a ground-swell!!! Wonderful
Hey there everyone!! I just returned from a conference and see that everyone will be meeting up at BarCamp Nashville. Count me in as well. I will be there around 2 pm. My apologies to anyone who may have contacted me via email and I have not yet responded, I will email you shortly.
I am glad that we are finally getting an opportunity to meet up. It has been a long time coming. I will send out an email to everyone in the group to announce the meet-up and I look forward to meeting all of you!! Just look for the geeky guy carrying the over sized camera/laptop bag, lol.
Also, if anyone is in need of transportation or would like to car pool from East of Nashville and points in between, contact me.

I'll be glad to meet up with
I'll be glad to meet up with you guys at BarCamp. However, I'll probably need to be available for questions immediately after my presentation. BTW, I go by Jared ;)
Why don't we meet up just prior to Jared's presentation
This will allow everyone put faces with names and we can then just ad-hoc meet-up after the presentation. There appears to be a big gap in the presentation schedule after 5pm so maybe we can sit down with a beer then. What do you all think?

Sounds good
I'll be getting there around 2ish myself. Just tell me when and where and I'll be there.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Wish I could be there...
Hey guys,
This sounds exciting and I wish I could be there to meet everyone. My wife and I just moved to Nashville from Los Angeles and it would be great to meet some fellow Drupalers. Unfortunately, I've got a prototype to finish for a meeting with investors in a few weeks and, needless to say, I'm a little behind. :-)
It's my first run w/ Drupal, and being a Microsoft/.NET guy by trade, the learning curve has been a little steeper than I expected.
Cheers and I look forward to meeting you all at a later date!

Another time...
Hopefully we can plan something where we can all get together another time. Maybe you can make it then.

Let's meet...
Unless someone has a better idea let's meet at Jared's (jscheel) presentation - 3:40-4:00 pm. If a few of us run into each other before then that's great, but not knowing what to expect Jared's presentation sounds like the safest bet.
Jared can you make a "quick announcement" right after your presentation so that all the members of the Nashville Drupal users group can meet? Just ask us to raise our hands, or pick a spot in the back that we can meet.
If anyone wants to private message me with their cell number, I'll send out a text message to everyone about where to meet if things don't go as planned.
