WEBSITE DESIGN MAYHEM!
The Houston Web Design Meetup Group, is coordinating an ambitious and likely intensive design challenge to take place Sept 19, 2007:
2 HOURS, 20 WEB SITES. That is the goal. I'm giving everybody an extra couple weeks this time so that you will be good and ready for the biggest event for any web group this year!
This event will allow the first twenty people with website ideas to built the first part of their site. We will need web ideas, coders, designers, business people, copy writers, computers and most of all brave souls! This will be a frantic race to pump out 20 actual sites that actually work. There will be some prework for those who want to have their site built, but everything else will be on the spot. At the minimum, everybody should be able to walk out with a home page and a Spank'n new system.
This will also be a smack down of design methods, where advocates of Joomla, Drupal and DotNetNuke get to strut their stuff. And lets not forget about Dreamweaver and the Devil child using HTML in Notepad.
The only way to accomplish this is a systematic approach I have been developing for the past couple years. Sad to say, it is only as good as the people who use it.
Looks like it might be pretty interesting, and I would be happy if a bunch showed up for the drupal team. Check out the link above.
