Unfortunately, due to constantly changing direction/goals/vision/priorities within the RSJ grad program, I've decided to resign from my position as Integrated Media Coordinator there. Last time I talked to Tao Starbow, he had found space at Bay Area Drupal Camp that is scheduled the same weekend. Boris Mann had an offer for space at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas the following weekend. Sorry this didn't work out. - Kevin Reynen
While the exact details are still being worked out, the University of Nevada’s Reynolds School of Journalism has agreed to host to an unconference for Newspapers using Drupal the weekend of November 3rd and 4th. If you’ve never been to a BarCamp style event, it is much less structured than a traditional conference. The agenda of presentations and sessions evolve much more organically and are driven less by the people organizing the event and more by the people attending. It also cost much less to put on, so the event itself will be free. If you work for an organization interested in being recognized as a sponsor of this event, the Reynolds School of Journalism would gladly accept donations to provide food or offset the travel expense of some of the developers of modules newspapers find useful. Contact Kevin Reynen sponsorship.
This wiki page will be used to help start planning the event. If you are interested in attending, please add your name to the list of people committed to attending or interested in attending. Please include topics you’d like to see presented/discussed or are interested presenting or leading a discussion about.

Kevin Reynen, Integrated Media Coordinator - Reynolds School of Journalism
I’m interested in learning more about innovative ways newspapers are using Drupal for both traditional online publishing (imports from print CMS, reverse workflows from web to print, etc) as well as what is working in the community building/citizen journalism space.
I could present or moderate a discussion about using TinyMCE with Drupal.
Moshe Weitzman - Drupal consultant.
I'll be discussing my work on New York Observer and looking for new, interesting consulting projects.
Jonathan Lambert - WorkHabit, Inc.
We'll be coming to explore some recent projects with attendees, support this effort, present, and to work with attendees on their strategies. We've being doing a lot of work on best practices, scalability, and new school newspaper site work. Looking forward to having you all there. I'll be coming to explore our Publish2 project and hang out with Moshe, Ken, Kevin, and all out other buddies. ;-)
Ken Rickard - Strategic Partnership Development (and Drupalista), Morris Communications.
I'll be there, pending travel details, to talk about how we ended up on Drupal as a platform back in 2004 and to give advice. To my knowledge, BlufftonToday was the first newspaper (at least in the U.S.) to go Drupal. I was also the lead architect behind SavannahNOW. I may even preview a cool multisite we're getting ready to launch.

Nikolai Thyssen - Editor at Dagbladet Information, Copenhagen, Denmark
I'll be there to hear about that cool multisite, that Ken Rickard all most promised to preview - SavannahNow was one of our main reasons to go with Drupal. And then I'll talk about our shift to Drupal - first our Comment is free-replica and lately our main site. I would also be very interested in a discussion of how we can lure more newspapers on to Drupal.
Abbey Smith - Web Business Analyst, Swift Communications, Inc.
I'll second Kevin's interests. I especially want to understand Drupal's capabilities regarding reverse publishing and "playing well" with other content management systems. Pretty sure I'll be there.
Kirk Caraway - Internet manager for Sierra Nevada Media Group
I've built a few sites using Drupal and want to explore how to use it more for our newspapers sites. I would like to explore ways to add more advertising-related features that newspapers could use.
Zack Rosen - Partner, Chapter Three
We developed Assignment Zero, a citizen journalism organizing system for NYU + Wired. Very interested in other citizen journalism + Drupal development efforts.
