This post will discuss how to write a good title tag

  1. By now you should have the Keyword, Title, and Description spreadsheet. If you don't go here and work on this process first: Keyword Research
  2. Open the spreadsheet that you have the URL of the page you are working on optimizing and the meta-keywords that you decided upon using the Keyword research process
  3. Using the meta-keywords fashion a short title of the page that you are currently viewing. The title does not have to make grammatical sense; the title can be as simple as "Keyword 1 - Keyword 2 | Drupal".
  4. The title MUST have at least one meta-keyword in it
  5. The title tag must be under 66 total characters
  6. Write the title tag into the provided spreadsheet
  7. Update the title and the meta-keywords in the content that you are optimizing and then save (Place the title in the "Page Title" and make sure you use a meta-keyword in the "Title")
