I've been following the ongoing project to create an installation profile for musicians/artists and am currently applying for a grant to build a website for my band. I'm curious what stage things are in and where I could potentially help with funding and feedback. Any direction to who would know is also appreciated.
Thanks,
Graham

Would be curious to hear an update on this as well. You might want to try contacting Daniel Harris, dahacouk on drupal.org.
The story so far...
Hi Graham and Farsheed,
Since the Kendra development team put in the Knight Drupal Initiative bid and spoke at Drupalcon Paris we've been focusing efforts on EU funded work: P2P-Next and Saracen. I also put in a bid to the recent Knight News Challenge but was unsuccessful - just couldn't fit it to the criteria it seems.
This year we'll also be launching our Kendra Signpost trial and so we'll be marketing to record labels and film companies to get on the trial. I also hope to have a London meeting to help this along - like the good old Kendra days. During this period I'll be promoting Kendra Hub too so that'll be interesting to see if we get any traction there. I believe, very strongly, that the project is still relevant.
We don't have the resources to start work without funding. So, any "help with funding and feedback" would be great. So, we see ourselves still in a planning and marketing phase.
The great thing is that there's so much good work being done in the Drupal community that many of the components have been or are being built. Also, the semantic web work of Kendra Signpost that we will contribute back to Drupal will be useful for certain parts of Kendra Hub too.
So, can we break Kendra Hub down into manageable chunks to see what you may want to bite off? This is kicking me to set up a collaborative project space for it somewhere. But what do you think of the project plan as it stands? Does anything grab you as a component you may want to work on? Let's chat more...
Cheers Daniel
