I have a few questions regarding PayPal and allowing a customer to instantly log-in to my web site after having paid for a recurring subscription. By this, I'm meaning specifically allowing my customers to log in to my Drupal Organic Groups driven web site immediately after they've paid via PayPal.
Could someone take a look and post a reply here? Posting your reply here is best, IMO, since there are currently over 500 subscribers, and all that expertise can certainly help by glancing any replies and adding info as appropriate. I went ahead and posted a link to this group since I'm anticipating some solid replies. :)

This is not impossible, and could be done. But it may require doing some tweaking to get it to work correctly.
We are looking at getting recurring payments working with/or after v4. HT biggest problem is getting the framework to allow this to happen at a generic level so it we can use all recurring payments systems, but paypal will be the first.
Also besides recurring invoices, we are looking at having the system dynamic enough so that we can have different recurring types via the allocation interface, so not only recurring invoices, but also things like recurring donations.

Looking at this a bit more. I would not look at v3 for this as it is a real hack to get this to work right. But v4 if you have an OG product which can sell access then to the organic group, you could have the product as soon as the transaction is paid for it will insert then user into the group and then they will be able to access it.
The actual product type itself, or maybe even a product feature would be quite easy to develop.
