Hi,

Updated: http://drupal.org/project/ReferencedByFilter

the guys in gizra.com (not yet launched) have written a module that filters the content by what is referenced from a specific node reference field (i.e. back link).
I've attached a ZIP of the module, so people go over it, enjoy it and give some feedback.

After enabling the module, there will be added in the Views> Argument> Referenced by a certain field.

An older version of this module included a patch for the views, but this is no longer needed.

Cheers,
Amitai

Hi Moshe,
I'm not a/ the developer of this module, but I do can say that "backlinks module" depends on the search module, where this doesn't. We'll prepare it for contribution.

Node Reference

I'm confused, can't you already do this without the Referenced By Filter module? If you use the Node Reference CCK field, you can have Views filter by "Node Reference: [Field Name]" with a Filter or an Argument. In the past, I've used this to get a media gallery of images and videos that are associated with a given node. I'm not sure why this is different....

Rob,
This module allows you two things:

The main purpose of this module is to allow the creation of pagers from referenced nodes. For example, in your Album content type, you have a node reference to 5 photos. You would like that only one photo per page will appear and a pager. Without this module it isn't possible as the pager will refer to the base node, not to the referenced nodes.

Another minor advantage is that it allows you to show the referenced nodes with a different View Type (i.e. list view, table view, etc').

In views 2, merlin writes:

...For example, if you have a nodereference in the view, you will be able to specify that field comes from the referenced node, not the base node.
