Hi, all. Here is the kick off call from May 6, 2010. In it we introduce ourselves and discuss the goals of the project, which roles are filled and unfilled, the major components of the project and a rough timeline. Nothing is etched in stone but I think there was consensus of the direction we're headed.
If you are planning on participating in the project, please have a listen so that you get a sense of all the above. (And if anyone wants to jot down notes and add them below, that would be great....)
The intros are the first 10 minutes or so and you'll hear André, Chris, Paul and Wes. T

Outline
0:00 - Introductions (Personal Backgrounds and City Backgrounds)
18:03 - Andre's High Level Project Overview - Chris already has IA notes
26:17 - Schedule calls for Drupal 7-based 1.0 release in September/October
Belsize would like a site running before the September launch date
Should they use Drupal 6 and then upgrade? Would that be too time-consuming?
Should groups just use Ning in the meantime?
46:29 - "ET Phone Home" feature
50:40 - Chris will lead the IA effort, and will send IA notes for feedback
IA will not be "one size fits all" for different community sizes, settings, and stages of Transition
Will continue to look for a theming lead
57:51 - Iterative development
Will there be a pilot version of the site up and running before 1.0 to get iterative feedback?
Yes, but Drupal 7 modules won't be ready to support an interesting site until July/August
And we don't want to get caught up in debugging the Drupal modules!
So maybe the Drupal 6 sites deployed in London can be used for feedback
1:08:42 - Check out Transition New Zealand for IA ideas?
License icons from greenmap.org?
Freebase as a way to get universal taxonomies?
1:17:21 - How to define and verify the IA before we get a site up: User stories?
Also, website mockups:
www.balsamiq.com
www.gomockingbird.com
1:23:35 - Wrap-up
SF Folks to come up with rough draft of a schedule
Continue posting comments to groups.drupal.org
