New Drupal developer website...
Hey guys and gals,
For the past couple of weeks I've been working on a hobby project - the concept was to make a super-simple job and gig posting website for Drupal professionals - everyone from freelancers looking for piecework to firms who have a serious commitment to building large sites using Drupal.
Its called the Drupal Developers Network and can be found at http://www.drupaldevelopers.net
Check it out and sign up; its a free site and lets you fill out a simple profile thats referenced from all job and gig postings you make.
I'll be writing up a Case Study on how I built the site in the next week or so to post up on drupal.org
Cheers,
Qasim

Very cool
Nice presentation.
The noderef thing on profile
The noderef thing on profile creation is quite confusing.. the field title is bad and I don't understand how I'm referring to by node when I haven't created a profile yet. Maybe some explanation there? And the CSS on the autocomplete is screwy.
Also, My inbox shows up on the sidebar but clicking it gives me an access denied error.
I wasn't aware when I created my account that that name would be the one displayed on the user list and such.. had I known, I probably would've referred to Ubercart or my development group in it. Perhaps a message to that effect or another field on the profile that lets you specify what gets shown in lists.
Other than that, looks like a good start.
Points noted!
Thanks for the comments guys,
I had forgotten to get rid of the redundant noderef field (used views_fusion instead - to tie member list info together) - just deleted it :)
I've also changed up the permissions on Private Messaging - it should work now, though I'm thinking its kind of a silly feature as most people will want to just use email forms - we'll see in time.
I've now changed the member lists so that they use the username to link to profiles but also display your company name; a field which is easily editable whenever you want from your profile :)
Cheers,
q./

Its getting distorted at many places.
