Hi,
On my Drupal host served from http://www.linode.com, I also run a mail server. I receive email for the domain, example: headcoach AT planowestlacrosse DOT org, and, I also use the SimpleNews module to send out a weekly email newsletter.
I created a pretty robust system following the instructions here:

It was pretty intense work to get that all to work. How do other website admins do mail? Is there an easier way?

Hi John,
Typically accounts will include mail servers that are pre-configured. In fact, I've never seen or heard of a hosting service that does not have a mail server pre-configured. I think you may have tried to travel to Austin through Laredo on this one.
