Successideaweb.com will be promoting Drupal in The Malaysian Government Open Source Software Conference - MyGOSSCON 2007 6-7 December 2007 which will be held at Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC) Malaysia. I posted it here...
We will have a booth and a presentation "Web Content Management with Drupal". I know, it's a little bit colorful as compared to the others ... to keep people awake !
Please comment or advise regarding the content. I will make changes if necessary.

Hey najib, Good to hear that
Hey najib,
Good to hear that you are actively promoting Drupal in public events! How was the response from the crowd regarding Drupal?
Edmund
exciting
First of all ..the events was full of people from the government departments, agencies, universities ...and some from privates.
Secondly, Malaysian government will 'adopt' open sources targeted 70% in the coming years.... in many way from servers OS to desktop. Good direction. You guys can download the Masterplan and Implementation guideline posted in http://opensource.mampu.gov.my
Thirdly, many serious inquiries on Drupal. Most of them ...almost all, never heard of Drupal !!!! Some already started with Joomla, but since I had the Joomla experience, I can clearly made a comparison .... it's obvious, Drupal is the way to go!
Fourthly, I am looking for good drupal developer to work together with me.
So ...yep, it is sad, Drupal is not soo popular or even implemented in any government agencies unlike our fellow CMS.
bring it on ....

That sound really good! So
That sound really good! So how does the selection process work? Since most of the are already using Joomla, are they open to convert to Drupal? Not sure how things works, is there like a open-tender kinda thing? Seems like a good opportunity to promote the use of Drupal locally.
And I'm surprised Skali is not a forerunner in the scene. They seem to have the right resources, experience and knowledge. Perhaps they don't see the benefits of open source?
If you're looking out for a Drupal developer, maybe we can work something out. Feel free to contact me :)
