I've Been Thinking About This Actually...
I've actually been thinking of this exact subject over the last couple of days. "The path to perceived Drupal enlightenment," covering subjects from coding standards, ethics, irc and forum conduct and basically tips for how to do things so that you don't get flamed. I wouldn't call it tips to prevent being flamed because that adds to the already some what scary community for beginners. But when I first started in the Drupal community I had never used irc, never used forums that often and definitely had not come to having my own coding style. These few things can be items that we already have in drupal.org but I don't think we should just link off to them. Instead I think we should maintain a parallel version that is constant with the themes of become a Drupal Ninja and I think we should be creative and open with this to make things seem just that much more friendlier.

I'd like to be enlightened
Funny thing is that there are many who tag themselves as "Ninja" (no offense intended), but what bugs me is the "how?".
Honestly, I feel more of a "Hermit". I needed to learn through trial and error, and the hard part... alone. :(
Being a "Drupal Hermit" is not the good path to Drupal enlightenment right?
However, I would agree that being creative and not defining my style into one box will definitely make me feel better. Besides, it's the feedback of the community that gives value to our work.
