techClub journal | www.techClub.tc
it's easily accessible via train - commuter.
stop at Serdang station that it's just a walk away from there.
Others, please show your interest. As of today, there are only 4 people signup. Come on guys ....

I want to come but I have something on that day. Can we postpone it to the next week? And if meeting in Serdang is a deterrent how about we meet in a Starbucks in KL?
Yes, Kuala Lumpur is more
Yes, Kuala Lumpur is more feasible non? KLCC or thereabouts please. If you'd like, we could meet up at Bukhora and I can arrange with Paul {I think that's his name to setup a small lounge for us} or yes, Starbucks or Domes would be equally enticing :-)

open for idea
thanks for the ideas.
However, bare in mind that I hope that we could have a presentation or demo or something that everyone can easily view it. so we need a space for projector/screen. I can bring LCD/DLP projector but not the big white screen though. last time we had gathering in Starbuck KL Sentral, I think Exabytes must pay them a lot. not a just a cup of ice blended :-)
Should you think presentation is not as important, having it at starbuck Kl sentral is ok

If we must have a
If we must have a presentation, why not have ... each member/dev whatever pays say a fix 'entry' fee for that? I know Starbucks Carrefour {and surely there's a place that does that in Kuala Lumpur?} rents out its place for ... all these fun events - otherwise like you said, if presentation is not important - we could all hoook our laptops together and have a lan party {kidding!} ...

if you guys are serious, i will try and get a budget from the boss 'on the pretext of training', then get najib to use that money to fly you guys here. hehehe... ;p could probably even sneak in a snorkelling trip to pulau kapas...
if we schedule early, airasia return flight will only cost about rm100 per person. there are also a few reasonable budget hotels which costs about rm100 per room.
tentatively april 2008 ?

Love to join, but I'm in Penang.
Too far for me. =)
Glad to see more Drupal activities in Malaysia
The idea of creating an
The idea of creating an association recently mentioned by Najibx would be interesting for all Members living outside the Klang Valley area - Najibx, I think what needs consideration is the setting up of chapters outside Kuala Lumpur / Petaling Jaya area for other states as well. This way, at least all other members will be catered for. Each chapter will have its own set of 'Management Board'.
Don't you just love democracy ?
AainaA | www.AainaA.info
Not bad ...
Although I expected more to show up, at least we have 10 people including some new faces. We don't use the LCD projector. However, we managed to have a good discussion and getting to know each other. One important topic is the establishment of the association. I will open up another topic on this and hear your opinion.

Najibx
I hope that all previous Drupal meet-up that you've had were minuted. The minutes are important in the creation of a society {association} in Malaysia.
To establish an assoc. please refer to http://www.ros.gov.my/pengurusan.htm#1 {I hope this is the correct link - it looks terribly ugly, but then again, its acceptable seeing its a govt. portal}
I think what needs done, is to create a page where My {Malaysia} Drupal members could submit their interest by filling in a form - this way, they don't have to be presently present unless its for an AGM or something to appoint the necessary 'Management' board etc. At least you'll have a gauge of the number of people who are interested in forming or being part of the Assoc.
Later,
AA
