Let's try to define our core values, rules of the road, dos and dont's - ideally we can create our 'dojo code' ...

Here are a few ideas - please question, comment, clarify and/or add your own...

  • Strive to connect and add value to the Drupal community
    • Enable a means for Drupal and the community to engage, learn, and participate
      • no 'closed' projects will be accepted
    • Utilize the Drupal support and infrastructure wherever applicable
    • Support core projects and development.
      • communicate/collaborate with 'official' developers, designers and maintainers
      • solicit feedback and ideas regarding issues/tasks/projects important to them
    • Keep communication on the appropriate 'official' Drupal sites
    • Connect and collaborate with Drupal working groups, regional groups, and the Drupal association
    • Everything makes it back to the proper places on Drupal
      • contribute back install profiles, modules, and themes
      • documentation
      • tutorials (audio, video,slideshows)
      • install profile recipes, case studies other how-tos.
  • The Dojo is to remain free, open, and inclusive
  • Participation will be rewarded if you so choose
  • Learning should be fun!
