A little slow around here. Are there still monthly meetings?

Funny. I've been on here for over a year and didn't see this group before. Anyway, I'm in Rancho Cordova now, grew up in Elk Grove and graduated from UCD. I am attempting a career change away from electrical engineering to web development/programming and have been using Drupal for 15-16 months. I like it a lot, though in the future I'd like to contribute to some core changes. In particular, I'd like to see changes that would either eliminate or reduce the size of the modules I have developed without losing functionality. All of my modules, as a design goal, have not required patches to core. This has caused me to be creative in certain instances, but the code to do is has not been super clean, nor fast.

Anyway, if the group is still alive, or has some other diggs on the internet used more often than the g.d.o group, I'd like to hear about it. Oh, and if there's any work out there, the project I'm currently on may be winding down soon. Cheers.
