How to share knowledge in Scotland?

I've had a quick look round the other groups here and can't see anyone creating content for others to share. The best I have seen is a beginners group where they have a "tag list" block on the right hand side. It seems to me that the best thing would be to create a simple Drupal site for us all to add content? Gets some hands on and allows us to all contribute our knowledge towards something constructive. The thing that may be an issue is where do we host this? In previous groups I've seen folk lose interest and if one person runs/controls things then that may be lost. My hosting provider www.siteground.com gives two years Drupal hosting for £34.

Hey it was a pleasure to have met you tonight and everyone else. How does a hosting company survive on that low cost???

Anyway, i think it is a good idea to run and administer our own site for the Scottish Drupal Group and will be happy to host this on my own server if needed.

We have a great mixed of people in this group you can certain contribute one way or the other, Designers / coders / networkers / whatever, i'm sure we can all chip-in to create and maintain the site :)
