Best Way to Get In Contact With Your Task's Mentor?

Perhaps the answer to this question is blatantly obvious and I'm just being oblivious, but I wanted to ask publicly just in case anyone else is unclear as well. Besides going onto IRC and tracking down the mentor of the task you're working on (which may or may not be useful depending on if you're both actually online at the same time), what's the best way of contacting the mentor in charge? Posting a comment on the task? Leaving a message in this group?

  1. IRC is always good. Use irc.freenode.net, channels #drupal and #drupal-drop.
  2. Leaving a comment on the issue. If you leave a comment there, the mentor should see it; if not, I will, and I will track them down for you ;).
  3. Drupal.org contact form. This should be a last resort, if they really seem unreachable.
  4. Just ask :). So maybe I'm not your mentor. I still may know something. ;)

Also make sure to pick a task *with* a mentor...

I've been pinged on a task that I proposed but never offered to mentor (I'm not down for mentoring any DROP tasks cos I have no time).

So if you're after a mentor, make sure to choose a task that has a mentor assigned.
