Hello, we are actively doing QA testing and a number of design issues have arisen. We have dedicated implementation resources, and themers who are helping but we need help translating design issues into actionable improvements. This is the beginning of ongoing design improvements that we will be constantly deploying on Drupal.org.

If you have time before Monday afternoon please consider offering your design and user experience skills to help use come up with solutions. We have planned to launch Monday evening and would like to not be blocked by significant UX issues. We have tagged these issues for your review:

Your help would be greatly appreciated. Please include screen shots with commentary in text to help us understand what improvements to implement.

Thank-you on behalf of the drupal.org redesign team.

Another way to ways to help

Another way to ways to help would be to conduct guerilla usability testing with a couple folks. Inform us of areas of the site where people found things difficult to use.

Follow these instructions if you need additional info: http://drupal.org/node/940862

Thanks!

Also, if you can't find a user, pretend to be one

Yet another way to help would be to use the four user personas (and their goals) to test those existing open issues against how the personas might reasonably behave. Pretend to be a relevant user persona and imagine how they'd see the user experience. This is handy if you can't find a relevant user by Monday!

the redesign loses styles in

decibel.places's picture

the redesign loses styles in IE3 (which does not support CSS) as I noted on d.o. - an issue automatically closed "by design"

of course this is not a serious issue, I just like to fire up IE3 once in a while for "nostalgia" (~;
